I tried this in a home theater with 7.1 surround sound. I used comparable built-in speakers on the side and rear. Right and Left Front Speakers - Polk Monitor 60s. The surround speakers were fine and the Polks sounded great, but that center speaker just didn't deliver enough clarity to hear dialogue. I ended up replacing it with a much higher quality Klipsch speaker, which changed the world. The center channel is the most important source of sound, as this is where most of the dialogue occurs. If you have money, don't skimp here. Despite its low price, I cannot recommend this speaker.
