Review on 👔 Timeless Style: Brooks Brothers Cotton Button Striped Shirt by Monty Barganier

After years of buying beautiful Brooks Brothers clothing, including pajamas that looked exactly like this at first glance, I placed an order. The material and workmanship of the resulting product were excellent. However, there were three extremely annoying design changes. The worst part was that the elastic used to hold the drawstrings to adjust the tension was replaced with a drawstring around the waist that runs parallel to the elastic. This meant that while the drawstring typically had to be tightened to secure the pants, it had to be untied and re-tied each time one wanted to lower the pants. This is extremely annoying for older people who have to go to the toilet several times a night. Second, the collar buttonhole was replaced with a tiny, flimsy loop of rope that was extremely difficult to manipulate. The photo shows a loop. Third, a few pant pockets that are sometimes used have been removed. It turns out that the original Brooks Brothers went bankrupt and sold the company and name to a new owner. The product design was severely compromised. Due to imperfections, I had to take the pajamas to a tailor to 1) after loosening the lace significantly, sew the lace to the elastic three inches on each side of the center, restoring the adjustable tension; 2) Insertion hole for collar button; and 3) attaching a pair of pant pockets.
