Update: I had my first physical therapy appointment yesterday. The therapist who gave me the cast said they were better than the thicker stockings they gave me. She wanted to know where I found her. We've discussed issues with tangling (I don't think they're that bad) and the seam, but the convenience of a stretchy, thinner case really outweighs the annoyance of tangling. I'm back for a second pack as I'll be in this lineup for a while. Three weeks ago I had CMC and carpal tunnel surgery on my left thumb and wrist. I wear one of those removable casts with velcro straps. Physiotherapy gave me two stocking covers, one thicker, one thinner, like this. I was really tired of washing these things so I went to my favorite place to look for more. All ratings are correct. They will unravel, but I'm happy to put up with it because the material is thinner and more elastic, and my arm sweats less in that hot cast. The only thing I can say about the thicker material is that it does not dissolve. My thumb and palm are still sore as hell and a little swollen. It's a shame trying to get a sore toe out of a stocking with small donations for a massage a few times a day. The comfort and ease of healing is a good substitute for the bites from something I hope not to wear for long.
