They appear to work just as well as disposables but can be reused! I've had my Braava for about a week now and already love it very much. It eliminates the dog tracks that are left in my kitchen every day. So far I've used the wet pads that came with Braava, the KEEPOW wet pads, and the KEEPOW dry pads. It was immediately clear to me that the plastic part that goes into the Braava contains a simple code that identifies the last type. Hook and loop fasteners on the plastic part that fit inside the Braava. In fact, they are not different pads, just different colors. I have washed the wet pad in the dishwasher and the underwear pouch in the washing machine and the washing machine seems cleaner. I've used wet pads with just water and sprayed floor cleaner directly onto the floor prior to the cleaning cycle and it didn't show much of a difference in cleaning power. I'll probably use it more often with floor cleaner although I like the smell. Sometimes it's a little itchy, sometimes not. You'll have to keep looking to tell the difference.
