I bought this to easily check the PH levels in my hydroponic system instead of pulling out a test kit and taking samples multiple times a day. Day. It worked so well just for monitoring that I decided to get a pump to automatically raise or lower the pH. You can only pick one, but I've found my system likes to go below 5.9, so I mostly use ph up to keep it between 6.0 and 6.2. However, I did not use the $80 Milwaukee pump. I bought a regular pump for $12 and used an old cell phone charger for power. Works great and I no longer have to make quick adjustments to keep it within reach. I don't wake up in the morning with ph pf 5.1 anymore :)
