I looked at a lot of carpets and they were all too thin for my use. I needed something to hide the curves etc on my tailgate to protect my knees. I didn't use the sheet metal screws that came with it as I don't use sheet metal screws in my builds. I drove 1/4" rivets into the tailgate body to secure it if needed. This mat is made from about 3/8" thick rubber so it will last for years. Slightly more expensive than the rest but that's ok, it is perfect for my needs I would recommend this to everyone Cut with metal scissors if necessary, they are too thick for standard scissors.
