Getting started. You'd assume it's just a shower hose, so all you have to do is finger-tighten a few nuts and you're done. Well, not with that. First, the hex fitting (which is attached to the side of the shower head) was not screwed in properly. Luckily, most (if not all) handheld shower mounts are plastic, so I just forced them through with the connector myself. For reference, I previously had two other similar hoses (one was too short and the other was a different color) and had no issues with the threads. Then you may be wondering why they include two extra rubber washers, it is more likely that the hose will leak before you need to replace the washers. Well, the thread on the conical connector is so long - I had to wrap two there to keep it from leaking. Using two washers alone increases the likelihood of leaks (three seams instead of two), but so far there doesn't seem to be any leakage. I can replace it with a thicker washer later if I can find it. We'll see how it holds up.
