While I give this review 5 stars, at the time of purchase I didn't realize there was money for a similar product (at a lower price) with more performance at the same price. I bought this to heat wash water to 140 degrees to reduce dust mites (and allergies). It takes a few hours to heat a washing machine to 140 degrees with 100 degree water, but it's worth it. Even the washing machine didn't damage it in any way (I can tell in 10 months). Next time I would choose 1500w as it will reduce the time it takes to heat the water, but for now it's ok. Very satisfied.
