This surge protector was acting strange when I plugged it in. The table lamp I attached to it had three levels of brightness plus OFF. The lamp cycled between brightness settings and sometimes the OFF setting without me trying to cause this behavior. Sometimes, when the lamp was on, a simple touch on the wooden tabletop would turn it off. When I connected the same lamp to a different surge protector (with a UL holographic sticker) I had no problems. Unfortunately, after receiving it, I tried to use this network filter for some time. So I couldn't return it within the return period. Otherwise I would send the network filter back. Lesson learned: I will always use a UL certified product going forward.
