I have an inset ball CM tray with a flexible neck. It was a perfect choice as the 5th wheel was measured 48 inches from the ground and the platform is 40 inches high and the 12 inch adapter allowed the trailer to be leveled. If you are using a torque wrench to tighten the main nut, you must use a crow's foot as space is limited to accommodate a 1-5/8 inch socket. The included wrench can be used, but not to achieve the required torque. I used a drill, tapped the kingpin plate and firmly attached the four included grade 8 screws. The rig tows well, the adapter is rated for 30,000 lbs, my rig has a gross weight of 12,500.
