As a high school teacher, I constantly use timers to keep track of class. I've been looking for a long time for one big enough for students to see from a distance. This one is perfect. Even students at the end of the room can see the red screen, which helps them focus when taking tests or doing group work. The alarm clock at the end is loud enough to be heard during normal conversation, but not so loud that it's interrupted by neighboring teachers. The fact that it's magnetic is also a big bonus because I put it on the main board right in front of my class, but I can easily move it around if needed. All in all, this is exactly what I needed.
