I have owned Le Creuset casseroles and casseroles for over 40 years and have always admired them. Since all of these pots and casseroles were of high quality, beautiful looking and durable, I assumed the Le Creuset kettle would be of the same caliber. Not correct! This kettle is poorly designed and made from poor materials. I join other reviewers who have cited its flimsy construction, the plastic handle that heats up and smokes with the spout, the handle that separates from the kettle lid with (or not) poorly inserted screws. However, I love the color and how it matches my Creuset kettle (no complaints). Pick up this teapot from the market, Le Creuset, and protect your band's reputation.
