Definitely not your homemade paper towel! Unless your house is like mine.

I've been using them for years, almost my whole life damn. Cotton red rags can last longer but are less versatile, absorb moisture and throw in the towel much quicker. The one place cotton shop rags seem to excel is in wiping away stubborn oil/dirt and grease. You then either rent them out or pay an industrial cleaner to wash them for you. No thank you. When the Scott Shop towel is ready to use, it's time to dispose of it properly. Low lint, absorbency and resilience are reliable and affordable for everything from mild cleaning and liquid absorption to solvent or coating applications and protectants. Scott's original blue towels last longer than my suggestions!
