This particular model Duraflame DFI-550-22 Freestanding 1500W Remote Controlled Infrared Quartz Fireplace Black has worked great so far. There is also a thermostat and a remote control. He arrived early which was a pleasant surprise. Our home is 1500 square feet but it is on two levels. By the way, never buy a two-tier one. Too many problems. Anyway, we use this heater upstairs and we really like it. So long it stays very comfortable up there. Our house has a living room, kitchen and dining room combined in one zone. And this heater makes the whole area very cozy. Ours didn't have metal legs, but they were very easy to put on. In addition, the fan is very quiet. Love it. We don't have to turn on the TV when this fireplace's fan turns on. It's just starting to get cold here so I'll be learning more about this heater as it gets colder.
