A real gem for a citrus grater. Not so good for cheese.

If you want to treat yourself to a special gadget, this is for you. My favorite features are the thin, sharp V-tips (so they grate the citrus peel perfectly), the peel receiver on the back (so the peel doesn't splatter all over the counter), and the nice safety lid (so I don't rest my fingers when I reach for it). Mine is in perfect condition after a year so I'm confused by some reviewers' comments about "paint peeling". Maybe they wash their cester in a weird way? You won't find a better citrus peel in my book: it's quick, it's neat, and it's easy to make lemonade. However, it may be too finely ground for many other uses, such as parmesan cheese to sprinkle on pasta or salads. For these tasks, I would recommend a tried and tested four-sided metal grater.
