Review on Speck CandyShell Case For IPod Touch 4G (LoveHate Pink) by Jason Rodman

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bought 2 of these, both suck!

DO NOT buy this Speck Candyshell. As some others have said, the bottom portion that runs along the BOTTOM front edge of the iPod next to the home button breaks very easily. I bought two of these cases: one for me, the second for my wife. In BOTH of our cases, this part broke in the SAME place. I actually took the case off once or twice to replace the screen protector. My wife NEVER took her iPod out of the case and it broke anyway! I won't go into every Speck case, but it goes without saying that I'm done with this company. The case looks good and actually does a great job of protecting the iPod from drops (I dropped my wife's iPod while she was charging it). Counter! Pssst!). But then again, wouldn't most cases these days protect the iPod from such minor drops? I later saw a YouTube review of this case and the review said the broken part wasn't the problem. I do not agree. A broken piece exposes the whole edge of the world and the odds of that piece being broken and dented are pretty high in my opinion. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Spend your hard-earned money on something that lasts. Waiting in the Post Trident Aegis. I will leave a review in a week.
