Purchased patio fan instead of light. Installation as it should be. In my experience I have installed about 10 fans. The guide is good enough if you've done it before. One of the brilliant design elements is the hanger and hooks that free your hands to complete the wiring. My hanger was actually different than the one in the instructions. It seems that the remote control is simply plugged into the available space before attaching the fan to the ceiling. I would like to see a better way. The fan is very attractive and lights up and cools the room just the way we want it. Remote control - bluetooth. You have to first press a button on the remote to connect bluetooth, then press again to turn it on/off etc. Connecting to my smart home system was easy. I use Alexa or the Alexa app for normal fan control as opposed to the fan's own app. I rarely use the remote control. Alexa immediately found fans and lights and installed the appropriate skillset. I would recommend the seller of this fan to delete their Revain listing. It can be confusing whether a fan in this list is damp or wet.
