Review on 🌲 Kidkusion Clear Outdoor/Indoor Banister Guard, 15-inch by Tim Crowder

Before we bought our home, I didn't realize that the upstairs railings no longer encoded the width between the railings. As soon as I moved in, I quickly realized that my daughter's entire body would fit in between! It was so scary not being able to leave her alone in the corridor even with a gate installed upstairs. The parents offered to sew them a fabric net. It would look terrible, but it worked. Before I bought the materials I thought I should do a quick google search to see how others had solved the problem and I stumbled across this product. Decided to give it a try based on the good reviews. And at around $20, I realized that if it doesn't work, it's not such a big loss. I'm so glad I'm fed up with this. It almost looks invisible if you stand on the first floor and look up. If I had taken the time to purchase the brown zip ties separately instead of using the included white ones, no one would ever know they were there unless they went upstairs. I read other reviews before installing the plastic. I took her advice and didn't try the punch. Using a 1/8 bit works very well. I also wanted to install this unaided and was a bit nervous that it might not be possible based on what others have said. While I agree it would be easier with help, you can do it on your own! Here's what I did differently than the instructions that came with it: It is recommended that you measure the plastic and cut it to length. I did not do it. I measured before buying to know it would be long enough but I needed the plastic to stay on the roller so I could use the roller to hold the loose side up when I needed it installed as shown in my first photo. - I started with the side that will be attached to the wall. I decided to leave the extra plastic and go back to insert the screws. I drilled holes and started inserting zip ties first. The instructions recommend marking the places where the holes should go. I skipped that and just drilled the plastic against the rail and then immediately attached the zip tie before moving the plastic. It took me about an hour alone. If I had to do it all over again I would buy zip ties that matched the color of my rails and ditch the cheap plastic washers for the metal washers. But since the projects are done, I'm not going back to change it now. The only thing I don't like about this product right now is that it's noisy when you hit it. Of course my kids love it and they hit it walking down the hall. We've only had it for about a week. If my opinion changes over time I will edit my review!
