So I bought this fan for my 2 year old son's bedroom. Installation was very easy and about as typical as any other fan I've installed in my life. After putting everything together I turned on the light and it worked as expected. Then I turned on the fan and it worked as expected. I left the room for about 15 minutes to clean up and throw out all the rubbish, only to return to a room that smelled horribly of burnt insulation. So I exchanged the fan via Amazon without any problems. I'm getting a new fan and I think everything will be fine! NO! The same thing! Now I'm sending the fan back. It goes without saying that this is not an exchange but a full refund. How could Hunter even put something like this on a shelf, especially when it could be put in a child's room. Not only can the smell be toxic, how about a fire? VERY DISAPPOINTING! Save your nerves and time and DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! SPECIAL FOR YOUR SAFETY AND FAMILY
