Most necklaces have chains that are too short. I don't understand the 16-18 inch necklace trend. The 16 inch chain doesn't even fit around my neck, but the 18 inch chain crushes it. I usually choose a 22 inch chain that sits just below the "neck" and just above the bust line. Although some 20 inch chains fit me pretty well. Thinking it would be a good idea I bought this 20 inch. And it's ONLY 20 inches including the clasp. There is no room for maneuver here. Most necklaces I receive do not include a clasp or clasps, so the length of the CHAIN itself is listed. So for me it didn't work like it should. Keep that in mind as you look at it. That lowers that star. Another thing was the "darkness" of the chain. The one I received reminded me more of stainless steel than sterling silver. I had both, as well as polished silver. There is a difference between them. I am definitely not satisfied with it and will not take it again. I wouldn't recommend either.
