I only gave four stars for reliability because there was still a kink two weeks after it didn't happen. I have bought many brands and this one is thicker than others. For the same price I got a much thicker cable with better coding and it's longer and what I like best is the elastic spring which instead of pulling on my dog if he runs too far has a spring loaded retainer, which makes it easier to stop him instead of dragging him! I have to buy them regularly because they end up kinking and don't work well because they're easier to work with when twisted. Due to the associated strength of the cable in the coding and the attenuation function, I will continue to buy this product on a regular basis. Plus the class is durable and I don't have to worry about my dog accidentally detaching from the clasp!
