I once had a Kuza case that warped over time from heat and typing. This cover is stronger and slightly thicker. Here are the good and the bad: The good is good for my Macbook. The 2020 chiclet keys have a slightly higher profile than my old Mac (2018). No problem as it's detachable - Leaves no residue on my screen when you close the lid (my last one did) - You can hardly tell it has a keyboard cover. The backlight glows without weird glare or ghosting. Because the keyboard cover is thicker, typing requires more strength. If you're typing with a very light hand, you probably won't like it. The answer is "stupid" and unless you land more or less dead on the key, the cover will not register the key. Note that the Kuzy I used didn't have this problem as it had a softer rubber cap. - I don't know when Apple changed the key height profile, but if it was on my old one, there would have been a gap between the key and the cap. I see this is really frustrating. If you use a USB keyboard like me and like to type on the built-in keyboard from time to time, it keeps it clean and protected. Otherwise I don't think I could print all day with the lid open.
