Our current/genuine cartridges (supplied with the printer) have an adhesive chip that is very difficult to remove. With new cartridges, the chip must be removed from the original cartridge and inserted into a new one. Basically buying these cartridges is a waste of money as you cannot remove the chip from old cartridges. Save money and buy chip cartridges. I just spent about $300 on all four chip cartridges but I know they will work. I've lost my money, about $90, on these since I bought them in June and just tried to install them in August but found they wouldn't work.
