Okay for all of us with those vintage cage amps, we all know how painful it is to constantly remove and replace those cages, especially with VTA when you hit the triodes and pentode switches need access. Find a screwdriver and then carefully remove 4 screws without scratching the nickel plate or stainless steel surface, then try not to lose the screws. But these thumbscrews are the answer. The perfect size so nothing gets damaged or shorted out inside. My ST70 was an early version between 1959 and 1963 so self-tapping screws were used, but a quick pass with a tap or just a 6-32 screw and you're done. In hindsight I would have preferred a steel thumbscrew to an aluminum one as I could see how the threads could easily cross when screwed into steel or just wear out, but I knew screwing them in and with a bit of care should do it all the way Life. Highly recommend and they look great.
