I've had this printer for a year now and I'm finally tired of it. I thought it would be exactly what I wanted, specifically the ability to print on 11x17 paper. However, it only prints to specific sizes and will not accept any size that doesn't match what's programmed. This prints an entire page, but as soon as I uncheck a box, the page is no longer letter-sized, so the printer won't let me print on page 2 or 1. It does not accept envelopes of different sizes. The main paper tray had a lid that just fitted on it so it's loose and keeps moving - very poor design. This printer jams constantly and it is difficult to clear jammed paper due to poor access to the paper path. Worst of all, this printer keeps going into an error state or going offline, which requires turning it off, restarting and then restarting the computer and then going into device manager to change the printer's spooling settings to check and also to restart. I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers several times. Brother support is absolutely useless. Although they devote many pages on their support website to explain how to solve this problem, they have no idea how to prevent it. So basically you have to find out for yourself. Much luck. Overall, this printer doesn't deliver on what it promises to be excellent. If I could I would return it. But when I had doubts, I agreed with him and kept my hopes up that he would work properly, which he never had. DO NOT BUY.
