We have 2 Samsung TVs, we lost 1 remote and started sharing remotes which was a problem as my kids are always changing what they watch. We bought it as a replacement. Of course it came in 2 days and when we arrived we found the original. We put batteries in the remote, pointed it at the TV and it worked with no setup required. We decided to make this the main remote for kids and remove the original because it was so easy to access Netflix, Hulu and Revain from this remote. It's much better than the original.
