The hole in the charm is very small.
Very small hole for threading the chain. The problem is also that the round piece that hooks onto the lobster clasp doesn't fit into the charm's opening, no matter how small it is. However, it does come with a polishing cloth which I think indicates that it will tarnish and I wouldn't want my little niece to have any skin issues.
