I bought this for a friend at his request because he liked what I said about something I recently bought and installed (it's not on Amazon). The only difference between this one and the one I bought was the length of the cable that came with it (33ft vs 50ft). Everything else is identical to it. Mine has been installed for about 4 months now so this review will reflect my experience as he hasn't bothered to install his yet. Mine is out in the elements at the end of the house attached to the gable. I live up in the Ozark Mountains so we get high winds from time to time. So far there is no image loss or pixelation in the wind. We got 6 inches of snow on a few tenths of ice last week and he didn't miss a beat. There is no channel loss and it still rotates. Picks up a station at 128 miles perfectly, although I have to turn on the booster to clear the image. I read other reviews that said the booster was irrelevant. In my case, the remote station makes or breaks. i have to use it An interesting thing I noticed while using the booster. When you turn it on, the red LED lights up - both on the amplifier and on the antenna. It's okay, but I thought I'd mention it. NOTE: if you have a satellite TV dish, the following may help. Otherwise just go to *** to pick it up again. We originally bought this because Dish was constantly missing more and more of our local channels. I installed this antenna, eliminated my selection of local channels from Dish, and saved $12 a month. I had to switch to using my TV remote to control the antenna TV channels instead of using the Dish remote for everything. We've also lost the ability to record in the funnel, which we use extensively due to our schedules. I solved this problem by buying a $54 dish adapter (my own, it has a tuner). The antenna cable is plugged into the adapter, the adapter into an unused USB port of the hopper. Hopper is smart enough to spot it right away and importing the antenna channels was hassle-free. Hint: a tip. If you have hidden some channels in Favorites, you will need to edit the existing list in order to add them. Otherwise you will never see them even if xx channels found are displayed. Go to Manual, Options, Favorite Channels, Favorite Channel Settings. Choose the name of your favorite and then add the new ones you want. This small step was missing from the dish instructions. :) Now my antenna's channels show up in the dish's channel list when I scroll. '10 Seconds Ago' and 'Pause' features are now available in case I miss something and now I can record live channels which my wife loves. *** I forgot all the extra channels they include in their OTA broadcasts. Lots of reruns of old black and white series and some other networks (Grit, Laff, Ion and some others). Dennis the Menace, Gunsmoke, Rifleman, I dream of Genie, Petticoat Junction. You got the idea.) Either way, you like mechanized rotation. Although I printed out the channel list, we didn't take the time to scan 360 degrees to see everything available. Overall, I was impressed with the clarity of the image. Happy camper so far. ;)
