I ordered this Let's Jam as my hair texture was changing with age as my mother started using it on her hair a few years before she died in 2013. I have 3c 4c coils with very thin edges that break and rub easily at night. I have found that this particular jam dries out quickly causing my hair to become brittle and rough when I brush it, ESPECIALLY on part 3c. It doesn't really hold up as my ponytail or even a braid meant to be styled at night seems to melt within an hour from the heat of my head. This happens whether I've used it with or without other products, after I've freshly washed my hair or touched up areas. It didn't matter as my hair became frizzy and unruly within an hour and god forbid shopping for 2-3 hours. I came home like a cardio workout. My face, ears, neck, and shirt collar are greasy, and my hair is open in a 12-inch afro similar to what Michael Jackson had in the '70s. A completely different sight than when I left home. mad at me like she put Gorilla Snot on my hair, parted it with clippers and made an African braid out of it 🤩. nothing special, you just used the old one 🤓 I said wait, there's a new one 😳?! She showed me her Ampro Shine 'n Jam gel conditioner which is actually different from this one 😤. As it stands, this is a version similar to that brand by SoftSheen Carson, but much better. explained why my braid looked so alive without melting or sweating before she finished all 12 braids😍. What pissed me off is that she knew and saw my struggle, had what I needed and didn't say anything until I announced it with it 🤬. Needless to say, this Let's Jam is great for some but just doesn't work. and also for my roles like Shine 'n Jam. My braid lasted all night and my curls were beautiful the next day with minimal frizz. Now that I know there are 2 "Jams", I happily buy a Shine 'n Jam as soon as I run out of the 2 glasses I took from my daughter 🤣🤣🤣. Yes, I had the last laugh! Hope this helps some of you.
