We wanted to use it as an alternative to our little one's sunroof, to change color when he leaves his room in the morning. The problem was that the alarm clocks were very difficult to use. Each time you open the alarm, the time resets to the current time. It also appeared to be set to EST, even if you live in a different time zone, so I had to set it an hour in advance. We turned on the red light before going to bed and in the morning it was off even though it was plugged in and the green light never came on. The light connects to the app via Bluetooth, so your phone may need to be within Bluetooth range for the alarm to work, which isn't great for a child's room.
