I am 5ft 4in, 135-140 36C and I bought a large. This dress fit pretty well and felt very comfortable on. The lace was not itchy (I have sensitive skin) and the dress was stretchy enough to feel fitted in the right places but not tight. I liked that the lace outside was well connected to the liner, it didn't move around separately. I love the vertical lace pattern. One star off for the way the lace was cut at the wrists and hem - up close it looked like it was cut by someone just learning to use scissors for the first time. If you plan to use the dress more than once I'm sure it would fray with several washings. The sleeve length was perfect. The dress length was a bit longer than I wanted. The liner went to my knee and the lace hem was 4 inches below my knee. I thought about trying to cut the hem shorter but the lace pattern changes at the hem so you really can't. Overall, I liked this dress but my husband and sisters did not like it. I bought a two colors, Navy and Magenta. I would say the navy is "dark navy" and the magenta is more like cranberry.
