I use this case for sewing supplies. It's great for storing buttons, safety pins, bobbins, tailor's chalk and lots of small sewing supplies. This container may not keep small items (like beads) separated when the box is tipped vertically, but with things the size of pony beads you should be fine when it comes to offset. The lid is not rigid enough to stay in contact with all of the baffles. Despite this, this box is still very useful to me. It has an integrated carrying handle. The dividers are removable so you can create larger sections if needed. You have the opportunity to make 32 compartments of different sizes. The 3 largest compartments at the top are not adjustable. This would be absolutely perfect for jewelry finds. Big beads would be great in this one.
