I had no idea something like this even existed! My search for covers for my poor abused chairs began with something like the linen ones which wasn't the style I was looking for. I came across these, checked the measurements (which have a decent range to fit a variety of chairs) and bought them right away. I couldn't be more pleased. They stretched well enough to easily go on but were snug enough to look like they were made for my chairs! They're smooth and have a matte satinish sheen about them. The corners fit well over the chair so there isn't any awkward space there. A huge bonus with this design was that the bottom was open so my chairs swivel without being the least bit disturbed by the cover. It literally looks like I've had my chairs reupholstered. Plus they're nice to sit on and don't slide when my 6 year old climbs up in the seat. (If your seat is smaller and it's less snug it could slide since there's nothing to secure it underneath- they rely on being snug fitted) I would say I have them stretched to their max limit based off the measurements provided and so far the seems have held up wonderfully. That was a big concern for me because my chairs are larger.but they don't even appear to be distressed. They have a weird vinyl smell coming out of the pack, but it aired out quickly. These are well worth $34 seeing that they saved me tons. If we are still holding on to our faithful old table when these wear out, I'll be back for more.
