This shirt works great as a rash guard, as sun protection, and as a lightweight baselayer. I am 6 feet 2, 175 pounds. I followed the size chart and got a size M, and it fits well. The fit is close enough to my body to function comfortably and effectively as a baselayer and a rash guard that provides sun protection, but is not constricting or uncomfortable. I would suggest sizing down for more of a compression fit that does not loosen as much when wet. As a baselayer, I typically use this shirt under merino wool tops to protect against itching. The top layer slides on easily and comfortable, and I do not notice this shirt at all.
