We needed to replace a $10 backpack we've had since 1st grade My son is a mess when it comes to organization (he's 5th grade.) Retail stores had limited selection (back to school is over) and most backpacks cost $50, plus they were too bulky for what we used for my son's 3-inch, 3-ring binder needed which he uses in math class.It fits binders with no problem without having to bother putting it in there or removing the binder (a big plus). is roomy, fits a deck of Pokémon cards and still has room. The laptop bag is medium in size and we use it to separate his folders and agenda from the folder. There was always a lot of shit in his old backpack. The second largest pocket can hold a small number of books, mainly 1-inch soft-page workbooks, spiral notebooks and composition pads. Different things. We redesigned this bag to hold foldable headphones, disposable masks and slim cases. with other bags. The side pockets are standard sized and can hold water bottles up to the size of Gatorade squeeze bottles. We use these pockets for snacks and tissues (they never fall out. I didn't understand what the straps above the pockets were for. Maybe they're to prevent larger water bottles from swinging and falling out. There are padded shoulder straps, in the back there's a second one too Grab handle which we never use (too flimsy and pointless. I wish the adjustable straps on the attachment points were a thicker material. I hope they hold up because my son loves this bag. He says it's very comfortable and has it managed to keep it his stuff in order my only minor superficial quibble is i don't have this bag with red accents instead of the green we got and blue or gray options this is one of the few off -Brand book bags that isn't ugly, thin, affordable and has plenty of storage space.
