I use this stand for a number of reasons. First, I use it to protect my laptop from overheating and overheating. I've used fans and they never helped considering I use my laptop too much to keep it cool. With this stand I have found that it works much better. Second, I find it much more ergonomic for me whether I'm standing or sitting on my laptop. I can adjust and lock this easily. Even when moving, this stand stays in the position I hold it. Not to mention it holds my laptop without worrying about it falling or tipping over. Finally, on video calls, I can set up my laptop so I can see people directly, instead of appearing to be looking down and worrying about bosses looking in my nose. It also allows me to move it higher when I need people to see the room or something. This stand itself is very solid and no matter how much it's been moved or adjusted, it still works like day one. I've been using it for 2 months now and it's still working. It may get a little dusty or even dirty, but it's very easy to wipe off. It also came in handy when I spilled soda on my desk. Luckily my laptop was on this stand because it was only the stand that got dirty, not my laptop. Really handy a lot more than I thought it would.
