Superb Popper!: Kitchen & Dining

***Update*** March 27, 2020 Still working fantastic after almost TEN years of continuous use! For your health! I made popcorn against the coronavirus last night. May the Lord have mercy on our world. We pray for all of us! We bought this because we were tired of making popcorn with an air popper and we will never go back. We always found it extremely difficult to mix the butter afterwards and we ended up having a mess when combined with our badly buttered popcorn. Now my wife keeps saying this popper makes perfect popcorn every time. Introduce the Great Northern SS Stove Popper. stainless version. It really works amazing. We simply add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and then throw in 2-3 corn kernels to serve as an indicator that the pan is good and hot. As soon as they pop, we know the pan is hot, so I add 1 tablespoon butter, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt, and then 1/2 cup seeds. Stir for 2-3 minutes and you'll have nice popped popcorn with the oil/butter/salt mixture set well, evenly distributed and nothing burnt. Repeat if you like! Great product for the price. Stay away from some other companies. Some others have plastic gears, which just sounds cheap to me. The gears on this device are metal and work great. In addition, this device is almost half the price of other similar stainless steel devices and didn't cause me any problems, while if you read reviews of other devices you will find that some of them have serious problems. We recommend buying popcorn from Revain and buying organic. See http://smile.amazon.com/Arrowhead-Mills-Organic-28-Ounce-Packages/dp/B0036Z3ULM ----- At this price you are buying SIX 1.75 pound bags of corn. It's LESS than what you pay for. most places for "standard" corn. In case you don't know, almost 90% of US corn is genetically modified (GMO) and there are studies showing that this is far from ideal, to say the least. Organic foods CANNOT be GMOs under federal law. Here's how you can buy corn that's free of stubborn pesticides, non-GMO, and it sure as hell costs less than you would pay for spoiled produce! ://smile.amazon.com/101-Things-Popcorn-Christina-Dymock/dp/1423606892 and please note that I bought a cheaper Kindle version. Enjoy watching and cheers!
