Returning - their auto close is difficult to use

I tested 3 different QC 3.0 Auto Clip car mounts on my Note 9 with 2 different cases, with the Anker QC 3.0 plugged into an outlet at my house . This took 2nd place. It charged my Note 9 to 100%. However, the auto-close is clunky at best. The two cases I tested with were a thin, flat-backed case (the type you're supposed to use, 4mm thick): https://amzn.to/2SRFKTN and a rugged, uneven-backed case (the type , which they are not recommended): https://amzn.to/2SPV6s7 Both cases charge 100% with my Anker Desktop Wireless Charger (https://amzn.to/32lmLEl). This charger couldn't charge through the rugged case, but what I tested did. You may find it difficult to use the automatic clamp. It may close before you plug in your phone. I had the same issue with another infrared based auto clamp I tested. Meanwhile, the bottom, which also adjusts automatically, couldn't lift my phone. Finally, it comes with an AC mount and a dash mount, but the dash mount is pretty lame. No window mount. Ultimately I ended up using the following charger: https://amzn.to/2SQED6U1) Manually adjusting the bottom so I can properly orient my phone for better charging. 2) Uses the button the phone is in contact with to auto-cut instead of IR, which works great on my flat-backed dash/window and AC mounts. The last one that didn't charge my phone exceeded 88%: https://amzn.to/39ZbuMu
