I was trying to see if I could save some money and not buy genuine Ken Onion straps. Bad move! The backbone of the belts is stiffer, making them noisy, and the coarse grit is too coarse to be used on that side of the bucket. The straps are clearly supplied by multiple manufacturers and some straps are missing the markings. I tried using them for less critical sharpening but gave up and threw them away. If you have bought one of these sharpeners, you will appreciate the high quality of the edge of your work. OEM belts do, but these don't.
