Review on Setting BLUE STONE Bracket Articulating 600X400Mm by David Roberts

Revainrating 2 out of 5

An 86 inch TV feels flimsy and the tilt/level won't leave you without installing your own hardware.

I've had a lot of TV wall mounts in my time and this is probably the least durable I've ever owned, but it's also the largest TV I've ever wall mounted. The mount is reportedly rated for 121 pounds and up to 86-inch TVs. I mounted a 97 pound 86 inch TV on it and the screws for the 15 degree tilt feature can't really hold the TV in place. The TV touches the wall. I ended up having to add my own hardware (toothed washers) to keep the TV from tipping. The problem is similar to the one I had with the tilt function. I have to loosen all the bolts and add my own lock washers to avoid this problem here too. All in all I wouldn't recommend this mount to anyone running such a heavy TV despite the description saying it's made for it. The TV is an 86 inch LG UHD LED TV. 97 pounds without the stand, which is well under 121 pounds. capacity of this mount. After it's pressed against the wall and adjusted it stays level and the tilt stays in place after I've added my own hardware so it looks nice but it's too flimsy for me to even use the pan function, to point the TV to another room. I've installed other TVs on different mounts that are larger than the maximum size but under the weight threshold and have never had this issue before. They really should have included serrated lock washers or a twin screw system to avoid this problem on heavier TVs. The build quality is really good and the packaging meets my expectations. I would have no hesitation in suggesting this mount for a smaller, lighter TV, but I can't recommend it for the same TV I have.
