Did what I needed

The entire fiber optic Bose audio system has failed on my 2007 Mercedes Benz ML350. I found it was a bad Sirius receiver. I had to modify one end of this adapter, unsurprisingly, and after bypassing the satellite receiver, the audio system worked fine. I was only going to use this bypass adapter for diagnostic purposes but decided to leave it in place forever. It has been up and running for over 18 months and I expect to continue indefinitely. I recommend this bypass adapter without reservation.
