You don't need any additional equipment - it will be streamed from virtually any programmer/source broadcasting over the internet or satellite. It plays CDs. Pop in a USB stick with all your digital audio files and you've expanded the capabilities of this thing. Connect your phone or laptop via Bluetooth for audio (it's also a receiver).
