I've been looking for a large barrel curling iron for a long time, mainly because my hair is so long that nothing else will work. Even the curling irons labeled "large" were too small to achieve the desired effect. I finally stumbled across this gem and had a chance to try it on for a friend's christening the day after it arrived. It only has an on/off button, which might be a disappointment for some as there are no screen or temperature controls, but for me simplicity is key. It comes with a glove but I find it clumsy so a few minor burns didn't stop me. I'm also very clumsy. My hair is waist-length, so loose, bouncy waves call for a long, thick run. Anything else just curls the bottom 6 inches of my hair into tight, bouncy curls that don't look natural. It exceeded my expectations and didn't even take that long! So pleasantly surprised by the result! I almost want to buy another one just to replace if the need ever arises.
