Great post op!

This is a great post-op option! I would never use anything else if it were possible. I spayed my two new daughters at the same time, so not only did I have to stop them from licking their nicks, I also had to stop them from licking each other. I've never been a big fan of e-collars as they make it difficult for cats to function and recover. An excellent alternative for many reasons. Fit: I have bulky girls who are about 12 pounds each and quite tall. (Using a large size) However, based on the measurement data, they ended up right in the middle and fitted well. The only bottleneck was the length. The hind legs were a bit narrow. As a result, they sometimes walked a bit silly and restricted their movements. However, it's a good idea to limit movement while they're healing from abdominal surgery. The ties at the back were the reason I went for this style as my girls are a bit different sizes and it allowed me to tighten them up when needed and fit them nicely. Material: The costume has a nice collar, elastic but closed, which you put on your head. Then insert each leg into the holes and tie the ribbons along the back. The fabric is soft cotton (it seems) and the leg holes are rough. I appreciated it because I could easily trim them down with scissors to fit each girl a little better where needed. I also cut my ties to be shorter once I found out I could. In general: Both girls were comfortable. This helped them stay calm longer, but still allowed them to move around a lot. The first few hours can be stressful, so it's a good idea to try this once or twice before surgery to avoid injury. Less stress than an e-collar. Plus, they looked pretty cute in them. And they seemed to feel safer and more secure with their bellies covered, despite not being able to groom themselves the way they wanted to. They let me know when it was time to eat them. Highly recommended! The only issue will be how long your cat is, as length is the limiting factor.
