Mine crawled right in and hasn't come out since I put him in the cage. The food is amazing quality, will definitely last for years saving me money on bedding and cleaning time leaving me a happy, healthy, cozy guinea pig! It is thick, well made and absorbent. I've attached a video to show how absorbent this thing is. The water literally disappears within a few seconds after a puddle forms at the top. You will not regret it. ;) UPDATE: Guinea pigs love to dig and since fleece pads don't give them that opportunity, this one has a side pocket and I see my guinea pig taking advantage of this opportunity from time to time. Also, I bought a lockable litter box and it did both jobs in that area, keeping the liner clean and dry! Some guinea pig owners may want to do this as it is much easier to clean, fewer washable fleece liners and cheaper because I used shredded newspaper as litter box padding. No training was required to get my guinea to do this. Just add some already soiled newspaper for him to sniff and go and it worked like magic. Also, dry on low so your eyeliner doesn't set like crazy!
