Review on 🔪 Lansky QuadSharp Sharpener QSHARP by Eric Rose

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lansky QuadSharp comes in handy for a quick setup or a camping trip!

I first saw this watch at a trade show and then decided to buy it after seeing it was offered through Revain Prime. The QuadSharp is small but powerful enough. The weight may be light for ultralight hikers, but it's handy for hiking with others when they need to tighten their knife blades. While I typically use the more expensive Lansky sharpening stones or the DMT diamond range for my best home knives, I've found the QuadSharp to be a good addition to my EDC and camping. Because it has 4 different sharpening angles, it can be used for most knives. I tested a few kitchen knives first and found that the bare minimum it took was only 3-4 passes to get them sharp enough for the paper edge test. The worst of the knives required 5 passes. With this type of sharpener, it's important to use only light to medium pressure with each pass. I've found that beginners tend to push passes too hard and then get dissatisfied with the results. After showing them that it only takes a light touch, they got great results in just 3-4 passes. It has two Phillips head screws that apparently allow you to change sharpening blades if needed. Because they're so durable, I didn't have to open QuadSharp to see if it was true. Why only 4 stars? There were no instructions on how to use QuadSharp. While this wasn't a problem for me, the people I allowed to use my QuadSharp had problems because they started pushing too hard when sharpening. Advantages - Easy to use - Good results with minimal passages - Minimal space requirement for storage and transport - Very durable - Convenient eyelet for lanyard - Color makes it easy to find in a pack with other items. minuses. - No guidelines for sharpening - Weight can be an issue for ultralight hikers
