Review on 🐾 Vetoquinol Renal K+ Potassium Supplement Powder | For Dogs and Cats | 3.5oz Size by Edgar Vasquez

Really did the trick!

Worked quickly on my dog. In March 2016, our 16.5 year old Yorkshire was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease. At first they said a couple of days, then after an IV drip, a couple of months. After much research, we mixed the main treatment protocol with herbs and herbal supplements. These included a special kidney-safe diet (home-prepared), subcutaneous electrolyte fluids, Azodil, and Epakitin. Herbal and botanical remedies included Five Leaf Pharmacy's Canine Kidney Care Protocol, Kidney Support Gold, and crushed nettle seeds. 14 months later she is still here. Last weekend she fell, vomited, had watery loose stools, was severely dehydrated and then had a 90 second seizure. I injected her with 200ml of electrolyte to perk her up a bit and then rushed to the vet at 4am. Her blood work was actually pretty good, all kidney values were fine, especially considering her diagnosis. I noticed that her potassium was just in the low part of normal range even though he was on a large IV of potassium-containing fluid, so I realized it was probably low. Caution is advised as potassium levels are difficult and easy to unbalance in the late stages of chronic kidney disease because the body does not break them down well. I wanted to give it a kick to help heal lethargy and weakness but also knowing that too much can lead to cardiac arrest 8(. I chose Renal K+ powder because I trust the brand and it's loaded with vitamins and nutrients maximum balanced effect. It is available in flavored gel and powder. I ordered the gel first but changed my mind for various reasons. The powder is much easier to control in dosage, per dollar is more product. And the powder was available next day not several days as a gel. After receiving the product I read that it was not suitable for dogs with end stage kidney disease so I was very conservative with it.For my dogs the recommended dosage size is 2 scoops per day. Instead I dosed 2/3 scoops and further divided it up so I give her 1/3 scoop in the morning and 1/3 at night. I mix that with unsweetened organic -Applesauce and she takes it pretty well. My goal is just to get the level to l below the average level of the norm, no more. There is no improvement the first night either day or night #2. As we went to bed we thought maybe it was time for us to say goodbye. She wasn't in pain but she looked like a zombie and was so weak. Этим утром я проснулась с разбитым сердцем, думая, что у нас с нашей любимой маленькой спутницей осталось всего несколько часов, но когда я заглянула в специальную коробку, которую я сделала, чтобы охранять ее ночью во время этой болезни, я увидела, как она оглядывается return. me with what looked like a little life in her eyes. Her energy and weakness were better but still there. She climbed up the ramp to our bed which was amazing as she couldn't even start the climb a few days ago. She became much more aware and even chatted with us for a bit, nothing notable but enough to confirm she was in the know. I attribute this to increased potassium levels from very moderate renal K+ supplementation. This isn't the only thing I've done for her over the last week, I've approached each of her problems individually and aggressively. Since she still seemed to be struggling, we fought for her too. She's definitely coming back. Recommend this product to everyone, but be careful and be careful with a dog with kidney disease, because you can easily raise potassium levels to high levels, unhealthy kidneys are not good at regulating it, so give a small dose, release it If you see an improvement, then measure the values to be sure.
