This works great if you know HOW to use it. It is written that it is for dark hair, but it looks very light on your hair. So, here's the thing, you CANNOT follow the instructions, or you'll just toss the bun at a random spot on your head that's going to be hard to shuffle. it's in your hands, then rub it with your hand. Continue doing this throughout your hair in the right places (I don't always do this at the back of your head). If you put the right amount in your hands and ingest enough of it, it will mix and you won't see it "bright" (FYI I have brown/black hair). The smell was ok. I didn't find it offensive or super nice, just neutral. This allows me to increase the number of hair washes to once a week. I know some people find that gross lol. If I'm on a date or something more intimate, I wash my hair 100% more often! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. It's not bad, but for a powder that seems to do the same thing as baby powder, I wonder if it's really worth it. I admit this bottle lasts a long time which is great. I plan to try the baby powder to see if I can get the same result once it runs out. If I don't get the same result, I will definitely come back to buy it!
