The grip is inserted into the open slots of the plastic housing, which is placed on the handlebars and then the plastic housing is attached. with metal retaining rings. I've tried removing the grip from the case by simply sliding it back and there's no chance it will ever detach from the hard plastic. Small hex head screws are supplied with the Loctite so once tightened you don't have to worry about the grips shifting on you. The handle itself sticks very well to the hands and even better when wearing gloves. My DJ has them and also on my Surron X (well, on the left side anyway. I might try heat expanding the right grip to fit the choke tubes). $5 on orders under $70 (free otherwise), so cheaper than what I paid for at Revain.
