*** Update: March 14, 2018 *** Very quick response from the seller (Hideer Technology) They immediately offered to replace the broken speakers for free without asking me to return the broken speakers . Whilst I'm rather dissatisfied with the speakers they work quite well and do what I need...but I'm very happy with the seller and would not hesitate to buy from them again.** *First review** *Arrived broken. The Revain shipping box was immaculate and the other items in my order arrived undamaged - not a single scratch on the other boxes that came in the shipping box. The mini speaker box had matte corners. and was torn in places (see photo). Upon opening the scolded box, I found that the plastic casing of the volume control module was broken (see photo)... Given the feedback from a user who had a short in the volume module, I wonder if I dodged a bullet. :/ Anyway, packing it up and sending it back for a refund seems like more of a pain than it's worth to me. Since the speakers still work, I've rejoined enough of the broken parts to support the solder joints. That way if a component fails on the volume control board I can replace it or just remove the board and solder wires to skip the entire volume control. The sound quality seems satisfactory (if not great... the speakers are tiny, what do you expect!?), although I wish the cables were longer. But I have extension cords to solve this problem. In any case, I hope someone finds this information (warning?) useful. ***Somehow I'm glad they arrived with a broken case because it allowed me to find the wire. with damaged insulation (the wire was obviously kinked / damaged during assembly). The wires are thin, as expected (around 25-30 acres, but I haven't checked). As thin as the wires are, I probably wouldn't have noticed any damage to the wire if I hadn't had to wrestle with the volume control board to get it back into the case after the repair (to the best of my knowledge). I'll worry)... Although the insulation is crushed, it's not *quite* to the point where the copper wire is exposed. (The photo shows the marked side of the board: wire with white insulation.) Speaking of "fighting the board," plugging the board and wires back into the connector wasn't all that easy. plastic container. To be honest, I don't think the boards were designed as built-in devices designed to work with a case; and I wonder if this could have been part of the problem that caused the hull to break. In any case, I covered the damaged part with a small amount of flexible quick drying epoxy to provide extra protection and prevent the copper core from oxidizing. Not that I really expected it, but since I had it on hand I figured it couldn't hurt. ; PI did a semi-permanent repair to the case that would still allow me to take it apart quickly and easily should I ever need it in the future. I suppose I could post pictures of it if enough people were interested but I didn't bother as it had nothing to do with the product as it was delivered.
